For Individuals

Most properties in England and Wales are registered at the Land Registry. We are happy to deal with any issues which arise out of registration.

First Registrations

Some properties are not registered at the Land Registry. The deeds of the property could be lost and if this happens, it could make a sale or mortgage difficult if not impossible. There is also a potential problem with fraud and for this reason the Land Registry urges anyone with an unregistered title to arrange for the title to be registered. They will even offer a reduced fee for doing so.

As experienced property lawyers, we have the expertise to deal with voluntary and compulsory first registrations.

Upgrading of Title

Sometimes due to an inability to prove absolutely that you are an owner of a property, you maybe registered with a lesser title. We can advise you as to how to upgrade the title and what is required to do so.

Properties changing hands on death

We can deal with the transfer of properties following death whether or not we have handled the administration of the estate and the obtaining of the Grant of Probate.

Possessory Title

If you have used a piece of land for sometime and wish to claim title to it, we can guide you through the often complex process of claiming a possessory title.
