At Clifton Ingram, our training contracts are designed to give you the skills, confidence, and legal expertise needed to thrive as a solicitor. You’ll be an integral part of our team from day one, gaining hands-on experience across a range of practice areas, with support and guidance every step of the way.
Start Dates
Applications will open on 6th January 2026 and will remain open until 29th February 2026. All applications will be reviewed and shortlisted during March 2026, with assessment days scheduled for April 2026 for selected candidates.
Duration
Our training contract spans 24 months, structured as:
- 4 seats, each lasting 6 months
- Opportunity to explore different areas of law while developing your core legal skills
Practice Areas
Trainees will rotate through a variety of departments, offering exposure to both contentious and non-contentious work. Practice areas may include:
- Commercial Property
- Corporate & Commercial
- Dispute Resolution & Litigation
- Employment Law
- Family Law
- Residential Conveyancing
- Wills, Tax, Trusts & Probate
This variety ensures a well-rounded training experience and helps you identify the areas in which you may wish to specialise.
