Staff Story – Sarah Lister

I joined Clifton Ingram in June 2022, after completing my LPC LLM with distinction at the University of Law in Reading.

I love how my job gives me the ability to help people. Losing a family member is one of the toughest things people face in life. Knowing that we are helping to relieve even a bit of that burden and making the estate administration easier, so people can focus on grieving gives me a great sense of achievement. As does knowing that every day we are looking after the elderly and vulnerable, and helping our clients to protect their future.

Secondly, I love how no two days are ever the same in the Wills and Inheritance department. Every client’s circumstances are different and there are so many intricacies in this area of law. I have had the privilege of learning from Clifton Ingram’s Solicitors and how they deal with very unique and legally complex situations. I am in awe of the expertise of my colleagues and know I have a lot to learn from them.

Clifton Ingram truly is firm that cares and wants their staff to thrive. A healthy work life balance is actively promoted, and the managerial staff run fun events throughout the year for everyone to get involved in. With this being my first paralegal role, I had no idea what I was in for. You always hear about paralegals who do nothing more than administration and photocopying. I never expected that an equity partner would invest so much of their time teaching me and helping me to develop as an aspiring solicitor, but that is Clifton Ingram. I truly feel like I am going from strength to strength within this firm.
