Joanne specialises in family law, with experience in all aspects of divorce and separation, the financial consequences of the breakdown of a relationship and disputes in relation to children.
She advises both married and unmarried individuals and can prepare Pre-Nuptial Agreements and Cohabitation Agreements in order to prevent such difficulties for unmarried individuals. In addition, Joanne is experienced with emergency applications and injunction work. She frequently attends a local charity providing advice to clients on matters arising from domestic abuse and represents clients in obtaining emergency injunctions, working closely with local women’s refuge.
Joanne handles her own cases and regularly represents clients in Court in children matters. She works on more complex and high value cases, often involving companies, non-disclosure and international elements, including much work in the Central Family Court.
Joanne was previously a Chartered Legal Executive before qualifying as a solicitor in 2016. She is a member of Resolution and theThames Valley and M3 Corridor Family Law Society and also a Trustee for Reading Citizen’s Advice Bureau, where she also attends pro-bono solicitor surgeries providing advice on all areas of family law.
