Clifton Ingram and the Wokingham Half Marathon

On a day that seemed more suited to bog-snorkelling than marathon running the 25th Wokingham Half Marathon, which Clifton Ingram were pleased to sponsor this year, turned out to be one of the most successful ever.

Records were broken in the men’s race, by Jean Ndyasenga of Burundi, and by Richard Whitehead a double amputee who shaved 1 minute 47 seconds off the world record. Liz Yelling from Dorset won the women’s race and the trophies were presented by our own Tina Crow, Partner and Head of Residential Property who won no medals for her athletic achievements but thoroughly enjoyed the day. She said “Clifton Ingram is very pleased to take part and believes it’s very important to be involved with community activities.”

There were 2,500 people taking part in what is becoming one of the main highlights of the Wokingham calendar. Clifton Ingram’s Corporate Services Partner, Tris Moore also competed in the race in a very respectable time although he complained that the birth of his son only 10 days before had interrupted his normal training regime. No such excuses next year Tris.
